The Real Story on the Breast Cancer Screenings

When health officials start trying to push routine mammogram screening for women to age 50 and then every other year after that, it makes you wonder if the best interest of women is at heart. To the point, it is not--- it's all about the money. Now that congress is taking on the health care industry by making health care affordable to all, the exec are already fearful that they will not see as many zeros on their annual salary they are used to and are naturally going to try and find more ways to keep money in their pockets. Making women bear the burden and the risks is morally reprehensible. Why wouldn't they push prostate screenings for men as well? I'll tell you why. Generally speaking, men don't go to their annual check ups like women do. Women stay on top of their health, their kids health and try as they may, their man's health by reminding him to go to the doctor at least every other year. But men are men, and don't see the point of going to a doctor if they feel fine. Not that there rationale is right, in fact it isn't, but health execs are not seeing a real cost savings by pushing PSA screenings for men. My response to the execs would be if I'm paying premiums for my health care, I'm going to get all I can get out of it for me and my family. Don't for one minute think they are pushing this issue because there is no substantial benefit for annual screenings at age 40 for women. It's not even about that. That is a smoke screen or the red herring they want you to trip up on. The bottom line in all of this non-sense is money, moolah, cheddar, or whatever you want to call it. I'm fighting this madness with the same logic: If you push my mammograms, I want to see a reduction in my premiums. Why would I continue to pay the same amount for reduced coverage? I wouldn't.

Don't Discount Your Significant Other

Hey folks this will be short and sweet. Weather you're married or in a relationship with a good man/woman, make sure you let them know how much he/she means to you. Even with their shortcomings like two left feet, not built like a supermodel or football player, or just not that handy around the house. So what! If he or she is loving and cherishing you, showing you adoration and respect and handling their life like a responsible human being, that should be all that matters. Just remember; one person's trash is another person's treasure.

My Lesson on Pushing My Luck

After graduating from high school, I joined the US Army. I attended basic training at Fort Dix, NJ and Fort Devans, MA. My first duty assignment was Germany. When I first arrived I was told I was going to Weild Flicken, or aka Wild Chicken. A remote post so far north that it was cold pretty much all year around. Needless to say, I cried (literally all night, big sobs and boo hoos). The next morning the bus arrived to take all the soldiers to their respective posts. Instead of getting on my bus, I hopped on the bus going to souther Germany. I ended up going to Ludwigsburg which is about 20-30 miles north of Stuttgart in southern Germany. The unit signed me in and I was still not happy. I ended up taking another bus to Stuggart and they signed me in as well. Now I was happy. However, that First Sergeant at the Ludwigsburg post drove her mad ass down to Stuttgart and reamed my ass royally and took me back to Ludwigsburg. From then on my name may as well been "private dump shit on me whenever". I was always the bad seed from then on.

I've said all of this to tell you that I am one to push the envelope and never accept status quo. I've learned lessons from my past however, and I don't go overboard.

Female Soldiers are Dying in Secrecy

I love Nancy Grace, God knows I do, but her nightly tribute to fallen soldiers is terribly filtered, censored or downright purposely lacking all of the information. To date there have been 4326 soldiers who've been killed in the war known as "Operation Iraqi Freedom" and 804 lost in "Operation Enduring Freedom" according the the Washington Post. But have you ever noticed that the tributes are all of male soldiers? When I was deployed to Persian Gulf War I, there were just as many women as there were men. The military occupation "Infantryman or 11B" are only available to men in the US Army and women are not allowed in this MOS. However, women are right there along side of these infantryman when they are deployed, in another capacity or job description. Naturally, if "Sara Supply Specialist Lee" is riding shotgun to "Sgt. John Infantryman Doe" while he's driving in the HumVee and an RPG hits the vehicle, both will be blown to bits. I'm not trying to start a debate of equal rights for women in the military. That is not my point at all. My point is that the military is keeping quiet the fact that women are dying right along with the men. The reason for the hush is because Americans as well as the rest of the world would have a far greater outcry against this unending war than we already do. If you remember, Pvt. Jessica Lynch was captured and was a POW. Everybody was mad that the Iraqi's would take one of our precious female soldiers and treat them in that manner. We later found out that the Army used Pvt. Lynch and that incident as propaganda to get Americans to support the war efforts along with trumped up accusations of WMD's and false allegations of Iraq violating the Geneva Convention treaty by torturing those missing POW's. Not to mention the fact that this girl was actually no hero at all. Her gun jammed and she never fired even one shot. So the propaganda ploy backfired on the Army when the American people became aware. So what do they do now? The exact opposite and "forget" to mention any female casualties at all. When will they get the point that Americans are not IDIOTS?!

Reality Shows and Mental Regression

Why our young Americans are being dumbed down? These crazy ass reality TV shows are stupidity at its highest levels. Not all are dumb as ass, but quite a few of them are. I admit, I like some of the shows myself, so I am including myself in the dumb as ass category. But, I can't get with the Real Chance for Love, For the Love of RayJ, or any of the reality shows where the men parade these desperate baby momma wannebe's in front of these hard up, masogonistic clowns who think they are a supreme catch. Ladies get a clue, or buy a freaking vowel. Don't sell yourself like a two dollar ho just to get with these shallow, no talent, D list, fake ass celebs. They are a joke, and the jokes on you for putting yourself through that mess. Get a real man and be happy with yourself because you didn't sell your soul to the devil for 15 minutes of fame.
